So Christmas is over for another year. It was a great time. We got to spend lots of time with family. Celebrated our "Family" Christmas on Sunday Dec 23 because auntie Marie went to Edmonton to spend Christmas day with the Schendel's. On Christmas eve I hung out with Chelsea and watched Knocked up... such a funny movie. Then Christmas day came and we thought my dad was gonna have to work so we got up pretty early to open gifts. If we would have known he wasn't gonna get called out. We never would have gotten up so early. But uncle Brian, Grandma, and auntie Sherry and her gang came out to spend Christmas with us. It was nice to be with the family, besides my crankiness because of overtiredness. haha....
Speaking of Christmas. I never mentioned that every year my dad, brother and I sleep in the living room in hopes to catch santa in the act. But of course, the only person we ever see is my mom?????? It's so nice to continue that tradition in our family. My dad thought me and clinton wouldn't want to do it this year since clinton is 18 and I am 21 but we both wanted to do it. So we'll see how long it lasts.
Traditions are fun. I love that we still get together as a whole family even if it is a little stressful at times. I love that we hang out and have fun. I love that all the cousins come down, I love that we spend time with eachother. I love that I know at christmas we are all gonna look really rough unwrapping gifts and taking pictures.
I hope all of you felt the love of christmas, and that you got to spend it with the people you cherish most.
