I am looking forward to having an enjoyable summer with friends and family and just enjoying the time together. Hopefully I won't be too bored, but I'm also gonna miss seeing my coworkers every day, sharing our passions for the kids, and putting all my time and energy into those kids.
Lately, I've been pondering the old saying "friends come into your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime." It's such a true statement. Sometimes friends come into your life and you know that you will be friends with them forever. You know that you can go a couple years without talking but that doesn't mean that you aren't friends and then all of a sudden circumstances bring that friend back into your life and you pick up right where you left off, really not even realizing that years had passed since you had spent that much time together. I Love friendships like this, but I also cherish those friends who you know are there for a particular reason and eventually they'll be gone and you cherish them for the time that they were there. And some friends just come during a particular season of your life, I know I have some highschool friends who I will never be friends with for the rest of my life but they were the best pals I ever had during highschool.
It's interesting how life is thrown in a tangled mess of our conscious decisions and then the outside factors, those unplanned things. It's like a big old experiment that we just can't quite figure out what that other factor was that we just didn't plan on, and the whole thing either does something amazing or it blows up in our face.
Good thing we know there is a wonderful scientist that knows exactly what all those factors are. Who knows exactly how everything is going to pan out depending on the decisions that we make and all the external factors surrounding those decisions. I find it amazing that God can work miracles even when we feel like we are in a bottomless pit of despair and there is no way out. I think God puts people in our lives at just the right time and just the right moment to help us out. It's amazing really!!
