On a day like today, and yesterday too, when the only thing that got one through the day was dark chocolate and coffee. Sometimes God throws that one person in the mix of the day that just makes you smile. Today's gift from God was a parent of a child at school. She happened to stop by the drug store this evening when I was working and I spilled to her how much I HATE Stupid people. And she laughed and said, don't you sometimes wish you could pick and choose who you have to interact with in a day? A few hours went by and a friend had stopped in at the drug store and we were chattering away and all of a sudden in comes this same parent and offers me some fresh pepperoni sticks she had just bought from Hamel's Meats.
I think we can always find at least one GOOD person in our day. Sometimes it's the same person day after day, but most often, it's not. It's a random person, that you hardly know, but know well enough to say hi to.
My only hope is that, I too, am that GOOD person in someone's day. You never know just how much your actions affect others so be gentle, kind, and overall smile even when you don't want to, because you never know who's day you will brighten. You may be the only smile they saw in their day.
