Have I ever told you guys how much I love photography?? I know I don't always take the best pictures, but I really do love taking pictures of all sorts of things. Everything from animals, scenery, to people. I love it all!! In general I love taking very natural pictures, not a big fan of posed things, but sometimes posing is necessary to capture such elegance. But most of the time I go for natural. For people just being people, and sometimes you need to take twenty million just to get a few good ones, but the key is knowing when you've got a good one. Some may think I haven't a clue what makes a good picture, maybe I don't. But I do have a preference, as do many people. And to me, there is a special talent in capturing the natural beauty of things, and so often, I just don't quite capture the beauty or the story, for every picture holds a thousand meanings, a thousand words, and only the eye of the beholder can tell the story.
Today I was out at my aunts farm taking pictures of her cows and horses. It is such a pleasure to take pictures of the animals. So natural in their being, although, sometimes it's very tempting to scare them so that you can get some action shots. Too bad these horses aren't scared of me. However, the yearling calves were not quite sure what to think about this crazy girl with a black thing that flashed and made noises. So, I did get a few action shots of the calves.

The restless calves, who weren't quite sure what to think of lil ol me.

This here is Gus. He's a beautiful Horse with a strong solid build and the sweetest spirit.

This one is Cappy, She's my baby, although she may have some attitude,
she's got a special place in my heart.
There is also something else about this picture that I love, besides Cappy being in it. And that is the contrast between big & small, and Black & white that is going on here. Yoshi is barely visible blending in so much with the snow and being in the background. Yet the black of Cappy is so prominent in the foreground, it pretty much consumes the entire picture unless you look at it a little closer. It's like life. So often we just blend in with society, no one ever taking a notice to us, until something happens, something that brings attention to us, perhaps it's an accomplishment, and embarrassment, or a disappointment, but it is at these times in our lives, when we feel like everyone is watching us, everyone sees our every shame.
