What I've been lacking

My relationship with God has been at a standstill lately, I've been reading my bible, but I still feel like I am so out of touch. Part of it, I believe is that in general I am out of touch with my life as a whole. I'm taking it one stride at a time, which is good in some sense, but in others it can lead to laziness, or being stuck in a rut. Which I never want to do.

So here's my decision that I just made after talking to two of my friends in whom I haven't chatted in a while, and that is to serve God in everything I do. He doesn't care what it is I do, he doesn't care if my biggest accomplishment is being a wonderful mother or being the owner of a multi-million dollar corporation, what he cares about is that my eyes are focussed on him, and that I am serving him. And I think that if we keep that as our goal always, that we will be happy. It will not matter where we are in Life, because our spirits are right. Don't get me wrong, I think God has a plan for our lives, but he also gives us options. His plan is that we use the talents and abilities he has equipped us with, and we use them to glorify his name, and his purpose.

There it is, what I've been missing the last couple months.
