Friends

Sometimes life can bring you some pretty interesting people. Sometimes you get the chance to know them, sometimes you don't, but most of the time, it's just nice to be around some people.

It's nice to be around those who can make you smile, those who you know won't judge you if you say something stupid, or those who you can count on to listen when you need someone to talk to.

I think it's important that we thank God for the wonderful people he has put into our lives and quit trying to win over the people that will never be the kind of friends that your current friends are. We spend so much time, always trying to be something we are not, trying to win over someone's approval, when really you might be hurting someone that already loves you more than that other person ever will.

I'm realizing these days that life is not about the people you know, but more about how real the friendships you have are. Sometimes I'm sad cause certain "friends" don't invite me anywhere, but I realized this past weekend that I have some wonderful friends that I do not spend enough time with. Friends who will be there, friends who are just fun to be around.

I'd so rather have 5 really good friends than 25 superficial friends. Life is so much more worth it when you spend time with those who love you. Because they have a vested interested in you, and you don't have to try and impress them, cause they already know and love you.

So take time for your friends who love you, they are the best friends you'll ever have!!!
