Life's Lessons

Across the street from my house is a park where many different ages of children come to play soccer. But mostly, it's the younger ones, as the older ones go to the field on the south east corner of town. Sometimes, I just sit and watch them, it's so exciting to see them kicking the ball around and running all over the place. They are not only learning how to play a sport, but they are learning so many other valuable life's lessons. Lessons like staying active, team work, and patience (because not every child is gonna get the ball all the time). It's just so neat to see the children at play in the field, whether it's a little rainy or bright and sunny, they are out there having fun and keeping active. And the coaches who are out there spending the days with these kids, they probably have no clue what kind of a difference, or influence, they are having in some of those children's lives.

I think it's such a valuable lesson that all of us should learn. When we are out, being active, we are out learning, making a difference, and most of all having fun. What is life without fun? What is life without knowledge? And how do we have fun without having someone to learn from or to spend time with?
